I'm Tyler, a 17 year old entering senior all state clarinet player in Texas. I also play tenor sax in jazz band, and plan on auditioning for a world class drum corps on euphonium.
Obviously I like music~
So I made the GDYO Wind Symphony 👍
so i guess i did alright
So I drove out to Denton today to get a tour of UNT. We went to the first hour of the school of music tour, then skipped out on the rest to take the actual tour of the campus with a guide. IT WAS SO BALLIN. I could definitely see myself going there. Plus, I already qualify for the $5-$7k scholarship per year, and tuition is only $9k..so like yeah.
All I need is for the music school to be all it’s cracked up to be. I talk to a lot of Texas homers who say UNT is one of the top 5 music schools in the country, but since they’re homers, y’know.
Anybody have an outside (or inside?) opinion on the University of North Texas School of Music, or just UNT in general?
message me if you shallll; i’ll be there!
